Free things to do in the PDX Summer: Jamison Fountain!

What a great way to spend the summer solstice! 83 degrees and every kid in the pearl was out jumping in this tide-pool simulating fountain. Salem had a blast splashing in the water that was shallow enough for her to safely walk around in. I found a nice shady spot right next to the water where I could keep a close watch on her and relax in the shade simultaneously.

This is a great place to cool off on those above average days. There's lots of shade, some grass, and even public restrooms for kiddos who need to use the potty. It's great for kids of all ages. One of Salie's favorite parts was feeling the water coming down the rocks (and attempting to climb up them). There was even one baby boy in the water with his walker/exersaucer!

After your dip, you can stroll on down to Tea Zone on 11th & Glisan to check out my sister's art on display!
